WHEN: Saturday September 30th & Sunday October 1st at 7:30 AM

WHERE: GOBBLERS KNOB Located approximately 8 miles east of Canton on Rt 9. You will pass a church on the left side of the road, then a field, then a white house, and finally a gray barn. Turn left and you have arrived. Coming from Peoria you will take Rt 24 west. In Banner, leave Rt 24 and continue on west on Rt 9. About 2 mile from the Rt 24/9 intersection you will find Gobblers Knob on your right (gray barn after the curve). We will also be using grounds/water at BANNER MARSH STATE FISH & WILDLIFE AREA

Main Street, Canton Rice Lake State Fish & Wildlife Area 309-647-9184 There are a variety of hotels in the Pekin/Peoria area (approximately 45 mins away).

WHAT: Bring lawn chairs, sunscreen, and bug spray. Banner Marsh has an abundance of chiggers, mosquitoes, and poison ivy. Dress accordingly! Remember to wear blaze orange for the fieldwork All Illinois handlers need a valid hunting license with a habitat stamp. A special waiver put out by the DNR for the test covers non-residents. Lunch/ additional water and soda will be available on site for a small fee. There will be a No-Host supper available Saturday evening following the test at Feaster’s in Canton (100 N. Main Street). Reservations are for 6pm.
